After Henry’s death, Jennie m 2nd John James McGinnis [b 11 July 1876 at Youngstown, Mahoning, OH; d 11 Oct. 1949 at Youngstown, Mahoning, OH], son of John Patrick and Johanna Mountain McGinnis of Ireland, on 28 Aug. 1916 at North Brookfield, Worcester, MA. According to the family, John first met Jennie at a diner in Massachusetts. The union was later blessed (officially recognized) by Father Engstrom of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on 20 June 1920. John had been a bugler in the Spanish American War (1898) in Company H, 5th Ohio Volunteers. At one point, he was taken as a prisoner of war while with Company G, 22nd Infantry Regiment in Arayat, Luzon, Philippines. He started to receive his military pension on 3 Dec. 1928.

Charles served in the U.S. Army, corporal, Battery B, 6th Field Artillery 8 N, assigned as an Artillery Forward Observer, 37th Infantry Division, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

John L. (“Jack”) McGinnis [b 31 May 1924 in MA; d 13 Apr. 1941 at Youngstown, Mahoning, OH], died in a car accident on Hubbard Road in Youngstown when his vehicle hit a tree on a bend in the road; four other teens were killed.
