[b 28 Sept. 1827; d 27 Oct. 1902] William Eaton Fenner m Rebecca Elizabeth “Bessie” Doggett [b 16 July 1831; d 29 Feb. 1880] on 26 Jan. 1850 in Halifax Co., NC. Like his father, he was a farmer with extensive land holdings. In 1860, his land was valued at $19,500, with personal property (including 46 slaves) at $41,300. William and his family were active members of the Halifax Methodist Church and were buried in the church cemetery.
