William Eaton Fenner

[b 28 Sept. 1827; d 27 Oct. 1902] William Eaton Fenner m Rebecca Elizabeth “Bessie” Doggett [b 16 July 1831; d 29 Feb. 1880] on 26 Jan. 1850 in Halifax Co., NC. Like his father, he was a farmer with extensive land holdings. In 1860, his land was valued at $19,500, with personal property (including 46 slaves) at $41,300. William and his family were active members of the Halifax Methodist Church and were buried in the church cemetery.

  2. Cora Elizabeth [b 22 Oct. 1852; d 1 Apr. 1904] m M.H. Clark.

  3. Mary Doggett “Molly” [b 25 Aug. 1854; d 10 July 1874] m Robert P. Hervey [1852–1928], had Henry J. [b/d 1874]. She evidently died from complications related to childbirth.

  5. Dixie Coddington [b 17 May 1859 in Halifax Co., NC; d 13 Nov. 1922 at Chapel Hill, NC] m Lillie L. Nelson [1864–1950] on
    26 Apr. 1883 in Manchester, VA; had Elizabeth Doggette [1886–1966] who m Wallace Patterson [1883–1953].

  6. Robert Lee [b 13 Feb. 1862; d 7 Nov. 1903].
