[b 4 Sept. 1875 near Alfred, Allegany Co., NY; d 20 Apr. 1945 at Hornell, Steuben Co., NY] Olin Smith Fenner was raised by a family of successful dairy farmers. On 14 Apr. 1898, Olin m Marinda “Minnie” Isabel Reddy [b 2 Feb. 1875; d 17 Mar. 1939 at Duke Center, PA]. Marinda was named after her mother (Marinda Baker) and her father’s mother, Isabel (Scott) Reddy. Olin and Minnie left New York around the turn of the century, and Olin initially worked as a door-to-door salesman in Shinglehouse, Potter Co., PA, then by 1910 had purchased a farm in Coneville, Potter Co., PA, where the children were raised. Several years later, Olin ran a general store in Coudersport, his son Kenneth worked as a clerk. In the 1930s, he became engaged in the oil industry near Duke Center, Potter Co., NY. “One day, while attempting to prevent the two cables running to a jack [oil pump] from getting snared, he caught his thumb in a cable clip and it was sheared clean off.”[1]
After Minnie’s death by cancer in 1939, Olin moved to Elm Valley, Allegany Co., NY, where he operated a gas station. Around 1941, he moved to Daytona Beach, FL, where he worked in a restaurant, but by 1943 he had moved to Elmira, Chemung Co., NY, also working in a restaurant. At the time of his death, Olin had been living with his son Donald in Arkport, Steuben Co., NY.

Donald Olin [b 23 Nov. 1906 in Potter Co., PA; d 17 April 1958 at Arkport, NY] m Rachel Boughner at Canistea, NY on 25 Nov. 1936. He was the principal of Arkport High School in New York at the time of his death. They had no children.
