Jane Marie Fenner
[b 11 Dec. 1927 at Denmark, OH; d 10 May 2009 at Erie, PA] Jane Marie Fenner m 1st Allen Alton Phelps [b 10 June 1922; d 8 Apr. 1992] on 10 Sept. 1949 in Waterford, PA. Jane worked as a nurse’s aide and as a secretary in the Wattsburg, PA, school district. Allen served in the US Army during World War II over a duration of three and a half years. He worked for eleven years as a foundry supervisor for Buchyrus Erie Co., then he found work at the National Forge for four years, and he eventually moved into a foreman position at Cooper Energy Service for ten years. Jane and Allen enjoyed bowling, golf, and traveling. Among his other jobs, Allen served as the mayor of Wattsburg, PA for fifteen years, he served on the Wattsburg Borough Council for many years, and he was an active member of Wattsburg Presbyterian Church. In 1995, Jane m 2nd Lavern Covell [1925-2000].
