James Robinson Fenner

 

[b 28 Oct. 1811 at Herkimer Co., NY; d 11 Apr. 1862 at Jamestown, Chautauqua, NY] James Robinson Fenner m Lovina Harrington [b 28 Apr. 1810 in Warren Co., NY; d 27 Mar. 1891 at Jamestown, Chautauqua, NY], daughter of Silas and Elizabeth Harrington, on 29 May 1831. The family moved from Busti to Jamestown in 1838. James and his sons owned the Shoe & Bootery at Jamestown, NY, to which Jasper Alavester Fenner went for family records in about 1901 or 1902. Jasper later lost them in the Japanese Earthquake of June 1923, while he was a druggist and chemist there. James left his Shoe & Bootery to his sons James, Silas, Nathaniel, and Alexander.

  4. Silas [b 10 June 1836 at Busti, Chautauqua Co., NY; d 18 Mar. 1901] m Jane McGeen [1839–1913] in Waukesha, WI, on 30 Sept. 1857, but they raised their family in Jamestown, NY. Silas served in the Civil War, Company B, 68th New York volunteers. Had two children, Herbert and Cora.

  6. Mary [b 22 Dec. 1839 at Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., NY; d 13 Nov. 1876] unmarried.

  7. Eliza J. [b 11 May 1840 at Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., NY] m John W. Hale [b 1838].

  8. Nathaniel Jackson [b 24 May 1844 at Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., NY] m Thankful Parkhurst.

  9. Ellen C. [b 3 Nov. 1845 at Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., NY; d 7 Feb. 1906] m Andrew Lane.

  10. Alexander R. [b 10 Apr. 1847 at Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., NY; d 11 Apr. 1862] m Ellen McElroy.
