Glema Marie Fenner

[b 15 Jan. 1896 in Bethel, MI; d 15 Sept. 1972 at Sturgis, St. Joseph Co., MI] Glema Marie Fenner m Albert Emerson Hillyer [b 30 May 1889] on 15 Sept. 1915 at Bronson, MI. When Bert retired in 1957, he had been a mail carrier in Bronson, MI, for 41 years. He started his career as a teacher; having received a teaching certificate from Western Normal School [Western Michigan University], he taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Bethel Township. He started as a part-time postal worker in 1914, then was made full-time in 1916.

  2. Morris Charles [b 27 July 1919] m Hilda Ruby Crandall [b 20 Aug. 1920]. They had no children.

  4. Doris Evelyn [b 20 Oct. 1923] m Olan Clark Martin [b 21 May 1923]. They had Susan Doris [b 4 Feb. 1943] and Kirk Glenn [b 22 Feb. 1954].
