Gerald James Fenner
[b 2 Feb. 1907 at Martin, MI; d 3 Mar. 2000 at Plainwell, MI] Gerald James Fenner m Evelyn A. Virgil [b 13 Oct. 1908 at Martin, MI; d 9 May 1988 at Martin, MI], daughter of Clifford Virgil and Abbigail Stebbins, on 2 April 1931. Gerald was a graduate of Martin High School and Michigan State College. He spent his entire career as a dairy farmer, was a member of the Farm Bureau, and was a 4-H leader. Gerald and Evelyn were inducted into the Michigan Farmer’s Hall of Fame. They were members of First United Methodist Church of Plainwell. Evelyn earned a teaching degree from Western Michigan University and taught in the Plainwell and Martin school systems.
